The Perch

The original owners of this home decided to take a creative approach to travel between the house and a small island they owned in the lake below. They built a chair lift or ski lift that departed from an observation pavilion on the roof of the home and safely delivered passengers to the island below. The return trip took people up the embankment to the roof of the house.

New owners may not keep the chair lift, but they are are rebuilding – and reimagining the views that they can command from the skybox or perch high above the tree lines from the roof of the house. Ridgeline Roofing and Ridgeline Exteriors has the job of recreating the sky box and then will begin a complete remodel of the home’s exterior.
